The Organization Fields rule of the Hide.fy app allows you to control the visibility of fields displayed in the detailed view of an organization in Zendesk. This functionality enables you to hide or keep specific fields visible, promoting greater organization of the interface and focus on the information that is truly relevant to the operation.
The Hide.fy app extends operational control beyond tickets, allowing governance over organization data as well. The Organization Fields rule acts exclusively on the detailed view of the organization, without impacting ticket forms or automation flows.
Overview of the Organization Fields Rule
The Organization Fields rule allows you to individually define whether a field will be:
- Visible in the detailed view of the organization
- Hidden in the detailed view of the organization
Unlike other rules in Hide.fy, there is no option to disable in this menu. The control is limited to displaying or hiding fields, fully respecting the native settings and default permissions of Zendesk.
Scope of Application
The rules configured in this menu apply exclusively to the detailed view of the organization, accessed from the profile of an organization within Zendesk.
These settings do not impact:
- Ticket forms
- Fields displayed during ticket creation or editing
- Automations, triggers, or reports
Hide.fy operates only at the interface layer, organizing the display of information for agents and administrators.
Practical Operation
When applying the Organization Fields rule, Hide.fy dynamically adjusts which fields will be displayed in the organization details tab.
Fields defined as hidden will no longer be presented in the interface, reducing visual noise and facilitating the reading and interpretation of organizational information.
Main Use Cases
The Organization Fields rule is indicated for the following scenarios:
- Hiding technical or internal fields that are not relevant for service
- Simplifying the display of organizational data
- Visual protection of rarely used or sensitive information
- Standardizing the interface for service agents
A common case is the existence of fields created for integrations, internal controls, or specific projects that do not need to be displayed to all users.
How to Use the Organization Fields Rule
To access the Organization Fields rule, locate the Hide.fy app in the left sidebar navigation menu of Zendesk. Upon opening the app, go to the Dashboards area.
Within the dashboards, select the Organization Fields menu, which will be displayed according to the language configured in the account.
After accessing the menu, a spreadsheet view will load containing all the organization fields available in the Zendesk account, with information such as identifier, name, key, type, and date of last modification.
In the last column, identified as Visibility, each field has a dropdown that allows you to define whether the field will be visible or hidden.
Based on the applied configuration, the field will be displayed or hidden in the detailed view of the organization, according to the defined rule.
Operational Benefits
With the Organization Fields rule correctly configured, the operation will benefit from:
- A cleaner and more objective view of organizations
- Reduction of informational noise
- Greater focus on relevant data for service
- Better experience for agents and administrators
This functionality is recommended for Zendesk environments with a high volume of organizational fields, where clarity and organization of information are strategic factors.
